Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Scope of the Policy and Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of Course A, the spotlight production resource offered by spotquelki. Course A provides detailed guidance on stage lighting setups, camera framing techniques, preparation of interview areas, conducting sound checks, and implementing polished workflows for media coverage. The policy covers both one-time access purchases and any subscription options for ongoing updates to the resource materials. It governs transactions made through the commercial website operated by spotquelki and targets customers in the United Kingdom.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices for Course A are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices include applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as supplementary digital downloads or extended access periods. spotquelki reserves the right to adjust prices, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider when paying from outside the UK.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, as well as secure online payment platforms that comply with UK financial regulations. All transactions undergo authorisation checks to prevent fraud. spotquelki uses industry-standard encryption and secure payment gateways to protect customer data. Payment details are not stored on our servers beyond what is necessary for processing the transaction.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

Upon successful payment, customers receive an email confirmation detailing the order, access instructions and terms. A binding contract is formed only when spotquelki issues this confirmation. Access to Course A materials is granted immediately after confirmation for digital delivery. Customers should review the confirmation email for accuracy and contact spotquelki promptly if discrepancies arise.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under UK consumer law, customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which they may cancel without providing a reason. For digital content like Course A, the right to cancel ends once download or access has begun if the customer has expressly consented to this. Cancellations must be requested in writing via the contact form on the Contacts page.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available within the 14-day period if access has not commenced. Once materials have been accessed or downloaded, refunds are generally not provided except in cases of technical faults attributable to spotquelki. Promotional offers, bundled services and any personalised elements of Course A are non-refundable. Services already partially delivered are excluded from full refunds.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, submit details through the contact form including order number, purchase date, reason for request and confirmation that no materials have been accessed. Include any supporting evidence such as error messages. Requests are acknowledged within five working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

spotquelki reviews each request based on the policy criteria. Customers are notified of the decision via email within ten working days. Approved refunds proceed to processing; rejected requests include an explanation and any appeal options available under UK law.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days, though it may vary depending on the payment provider. Customers should allow up to fourteen days for funds to appear in their account. spotquelki bears the cost of refund processing.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital access to Course A begins immediately upon purchase, limiting cancellation rights as noted. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional discounts apply only to the initial term and do not extend refund eligibility beyond standard terms.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments result in order cancellation with notification sent to the customer. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded where verified. Chargebacks are handled in accordance with card scheme rules, potentially leading to restricted future purchases. Suspected fraudulent activity may result in immediate order suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not exclude or limit any rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or UK GDPR. Customers retain statutory remedies for faulty digital content, including repair, replacement or price reduction where appropriate.
